if you have any additional questions.
How do I book my ticket to attend the first annual TroopHR Member Retreat?
This is an exclusive event for TroopHR members. If you are a member you can register here. If you are not a member and would like to join us you can learn more about membership here.
How much does it cost to attend?
The price of a retreat ticket, which includes all programming, food & drink and wellness activities, is $750 per member if purchased by October 31, 2022 and $1000 if purchased by March 1, 2023.

Members are also required to stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island for 3 nights at an exclusive discounted rate of $300/per night, totaling $900 for hotel costs.  (in-room incidentals are not included in this price)

Where is the retreat located and how do I book my hotel accommodations?
This year's retreat is being held at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, in Fernandina Beach, Florida, a short 30 minute drive from Jacksonville International Airport. Accommodations can only be booked through a special link that will be sent to members after they register for the retreat; not directly with the venue. The discounted rate of $900 for 3 nights in a single room includes hotel fees and local taxes is available to TroopHR Retreat attendees only (regular rate for three nights is $2,877 plus taxes and fees). To explore the hotel visit: ritzcarlton.com/amelia_island. Please note, a credit card will be required upon check-in to the hotel for any incidentals.
Can I stay at the resort for more than 3 nights?
To attend the retreat, you must book accommodations for a 3 night stay - checking in on Sunday, April 30th and checking out on Wednesday,  May 3rd at the special rate of $300/night (inclusive of tax and room fees) per our contract with the venue. If you would like arrive a day early to better accommodate your travel plans (especially for those traveling from the west coast) we have limited rooms available at a discounted price of $429 + room fees and tax for the night of Saturday, April 29th. Members can book accommodations for the Saturday night on a first-come, first-serve basis by emailing support@troophr.com.
When should I plan to arrive and depart from the retreat?
Event dates are April 30 - May 3, 2023. You should plan to arrive to the hotel on Sunday, April 30th, no later than 6pm. Departure is anytime the morning/early afternoon of May 3rd. While it might be tempting to leave the night prior, you will miss the closing ceremony, which lasts until approximately 9pm. And out of respect for your fellow attendees, we ask that you commit to attending the entire experience.
How do I get to the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island?
You are responsible for arranging your own travel arrangements to the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. For those who don't live nearby, you will be flying into the Jacksonville Florida International Airport. From there, the hotel is approximately a 30 min taxi or car sharing service ride. Jacksonville airport is easily accessible from many major cities by direct flight.
What is your refund policy?
Due to our contractual agreements with the venue we have a very limited refund policy. All retreat passes purchased before February 1, 2023 are 100% refundable within 48 hours of purchase. For purchases on or after February 1, 2023 no refunds are available under any circumstance.
What is the retreat attire?
We recommend you wear the clothes you comfortable in and if you enjoy dressing up a bit in the evening we encourage you to do so. Swimming attire, clothes for yoga and meditation as well as walking shoes are necessary if you choose to participate in wellness activities.
How can I get my company to fund the cost?
The TroopHR Member Retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience for senior HR Leaders. There are very few opportunities for HR Leaders to connect in a fashion that supports what they need to truly grow and evolve to the next level. While traditional conferences and networking have a purpose, they aren't always designed with the unique needs of People Leaders. Therefore, supporting HR Leaders at a time when their strategic leadership has never been more important allows them to hit new levels of growth, is something all companies can get behind. Feel free to use this document to secure support and/or reach out to us for help positioning the cost to your company.
What are the opportunities available for corporate sponsors?
We have select opportunities for partner experiences. Feel free to email us at hello@troophr.com for more information.
