Alicia is a strategic people professional with a passion for helping fast-growing, industry disrupting organizations invest in and provide equitable opportunities for their most valuable resource: their people. Her career started in the classroom as a high-school teacher and leader, and for the past six years she has worked on people teams in the fitness, franchise, hospitality and health-tech industries. She has also consulted with non-profits to develop their anti-racism strategy. Alicia holds an M.Ed. from Harvard University and a B.A. from the University of British Columbia. She grew up in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia after immigration from El Salvador. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, two young daughters, and her dog, Bella.
