Bobby Benfield is the CEO of OpenComp, where he leads the company’s pursuit of its mission to help employers build organizations where their employees feel valued. OpenComp’s current focus is on democratizing pay data and integrating it into decision tools that equip People Ops and Comp teams to bring greater transparency , strategy, objectivity and effectiveness to comp programs. Since becoming CEO in August 2023, after advising the company since its founding, Bobby has guided OpenComp through a period of meaningful growth and impact. He brings decades of experience building technology-driven B2B and B2C businesses, having held senior leadership roles at BeautyCounter and Shopzilla, both of which achieved successful exits. He was also an early advisor and investor in Honey Science, acquired by PayPal in 2020. Before his digital career, Bobby practiced corporate law at O’Melveny & Meyers LLP, specializing in corporate finance and M&A.
