Tom is a VP and Partner at MindWire, a workforce analytics and leadership development consultancy. Tom has dedicated his career to answering two simple questions: Why do some organizations become greater than the sum of their parts, while others fail? What does this mean for our companies, polities, and communities? Over his 17-year career as general manager and consultant, he has developed practical tools and principles to improve leadership and organizational health -- all rooted in a combination of sciences: behavioral, data, and managerial. He has been fortunate to work with a wide range of executives and investors -- from seed-stage start-ups to the Fortune 500 to the largest hedge fund in the world -- to uncover performance barriers and accelerate learning, mutual understanding, and value creation. He has a master’s degree in strategic management from Tufts’ Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy -- a life-changing experience -- and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he played varsity soccer. After two decades bouncing between DC, Boston, NYC, he now lives in Chapel Hill, NC, with his lovely wife, Kyle, and two pups: Pino Pazzo Pomegranate and Bea Wolf, aka "Biscuits." A new addition -- it's a boy! -- is due in early June.
